The core piece: the link

Every order has a request (request_id) with a unique link, https://reviews.leadit.tech/r/{token}. The app decides when it’s time, and your channel sends it.

Get started in five minutes

1. Create a key. In the app: Channels → API keys → Create key. Pick the minimum permissions you need. Copy the key (rvw_live_…) and the signing secret (rvwsig_…): they’re only shown once.

2. Sign your first request. Each request carries the key and an HMAC signature. See Authentication.

3. Try something read-only:

4. Connect the webhook in Channels → Outgoing webhook to receive the events. See Webhooks.

The basics

API base	https://reviews.leadit.tech/api/v1
Format	JSON in UTF-8. Dates in ISO 8601, in UTC.
Shopify ids	As a gid (gid://shopify/Order/456) or the bare number (456).
Rate limit	120 requests per minute per key.
Maximum size	64 KB per request (5 MB for bulk import).
Error messages	In English, with a stable code to program against.

A single signing routine

The API and the webhooks use the same signing scheme: HMAC-SHA256 of {timestamp}.{body}. You write the function once and it works both ways.
